Academic Passes 23/24

Vectare will be offering a range of academic passes for those under-19 on a number of our services in the 23/24 academic year. Passes will be available on a termly basis, or for the full academic year, and compliment our existing range of under-19 fares. 

Autumn term and full academic year products are on sale now and will remain available for purchased until Friday 15th September 2023. Passes can be activated from Friday 1st of September 2023 and will have set expiries as follows:

• Autumn term passes will expire at the end of service on Christmas Eve.
• Academic year passes will expire at the end of service on July 31st 2024.

All passes can additionally be used at weekends and during half term. Academic year passes can also be used over the Christmas and Easter holidays. 

Availability

Academic passes are available via the myTrip app only. Unfortunately due to high administration costs and issues with on-board scanning, we will no longer be offering physical travel cards. 

 Services

East Midlands - Service 90

Valid for travel anywhere along the route including to Toot Hill in Bingham, or for schools and colleges in Nottingham or Newark. Passes for Service 90 can be found here.

East Midlands - Service 93

Grantham Schools passes are valid for travel across the full route.

Toot Hill passes are valid for travel from Bottesford or Whatton to Bingham.

East Midlands - Novus

Valid for travel anywhere along either the Novus Direct or Novus Fosse routes for schools and colleges in Leicester, including Brockington College in Enderby. Passes for Novus can be found by here and scrolling down.

East of England - Service R4

Kings School in Peterborough is served directly by the R4. Passes can be found here.

East of England - Service 24

Nene Academy in Peterborough is served by our revised 24/24X route. Passes can be found here.

Essex - Service 13

St Johns school in Epping is served directly by the 13A for pupils travelling from Waltham Cross, Waltham Abbey & Upshire. North-West Essex zone passes cover these journeys and can be found here.

Essex - Service 61

Valid for travel anywhere along the route for pupils of schools and colleges in Brentwood. Passes can be found by clicking here and scrolling down.

Exclusions

Unfortunately due to ticketing restrictions we are unable to offer passes for Service 31 or 505 in Essex, or Service 833 in the East Midlands. We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience caused.

Epping St Johns Weekly Scholar

We regret to advise that due to concerns over commercial sustainability this ticket has been withdrawn for the upcoming academic year. Discounted fares remain available for those travelling to Epping St Johns on Service 13A via our NW Essex U19 weekly and monthly tickets or our NW Essex academic products (as listed above).

Over-19 Students

Unfortunately we are unable to offer a discount to Over-19 students at this time.
