End of Promotional Fares

Many buses in England are currently running with single fares capped at a promotional level of £2 with bus operators being reimbursed by HM Government. Unfortunately, as a relatively new operator Vectare have not been eligible to take part in the Government scheme. To help encourage bus use we therefore took a commercial decision to introduce lower single fares in line the £2 cap on a select number of services alongside the national scheme. 

Sadly, we are unable to extend the full range of commercial discounts we have been offering and therefore from Saturday April 1st fares on some of our routes will return to their normal prices. We will however continue to offer a range of day tickets; season passes and group tickets on these services which offer great value and, in many cases, work out cheaper than £2 single for those making more than 1 trip per day. 

Service affected:

Service 13 – Waltham Cross > Waltham Abbey > Epping > North Weald

£2 singles will remain in place for journeys between Epping & North Weald and between Waltham Cross & Waltham Abbey. All other fares will return to their normal levels. 

Service 93 – Bingham > Bottesford > Grantham

All single fares will return to normal prices.

Service 418 – Loughton > Debden > Theydon Bois > Epping > North Weald

£2 singles will remain in place for journeys between Epping & North Weald. All other fares will return to their normal levels.

Novus Direct - New Lubbesthorpe > A47 > City (Novus Retail > Fosse Park)

£2 singles will remain in place for all journeys.
