Essex - Replacing the 86!

From Monday 17th April, Vectare will takeover operation of Arriva service 86 between Harlow and Waltham Cross, under contract to Essex County Council. This is following notice from Arriva that they will no longer be operating the route. 

The service will be renumbered 505 but there are no changes to the route or timetable. 

There is no change to the Saturday service which will continue to operate to the same timetable between Waltham Abbey and Harlow Bus Station only.

Fare Information

As the service will be operated as an ECC contract there will be changes to fares with only single and return tickets available. For contractual reasons fares on weekdays will be different to those offered on the Saturday service.

Unfortunately season passes and mobile tickets will no longer be available, though Arriva week and month passes will continue to be accepted on the weekday 505 until May 16th.

Concession passes will continue to be accepted after 0900 on weekdays and at all times on Saturdays.

Unfortunately, due to contractual reasons Vectare Abbey Zone and North West Essex Zone tickets will not be accepted on the service.
