Essex - Service 61 - Wyatts Green Suspension

We regret to advise that due to an increasing number of adverse incidents; Service 61 will not be able to serve the Plovers Mead loop in Wyatts Green until further notice. All weekday daytime journeys between 0900 and 1700 will run numbered 61A. Passengers for Wyatts Green can continue to use the bus by boarding and alighting at the Plovers Barron bus stop on Church Lane (and the end of Wyatts Green Road).

We apologise to the small number of residents within Wyatts Green who use Service 61 but unfortunately this action is now unavoidable. The volume and state of roadside parking around the loop haa increased over the 3 years we've been operating the loop causing delays and disruption to more and more journeys. We have also sustained damage to a number of vehicles whilst trying to navigate through the loop and of course this presents an unacceptable health and safety risk to both our staff and passengers.

We are liaising with Essex County Council, who part fund the service, in an effort to find a longer term solution and will provide an update in due course.
