Central Connect

In September 2023 Central Connect joined the Vectare family. For the time being both operations will run separately and you'll be able to find timetables and route information for Central Connect services on their existing website by clicking here or by browsing the network links further down this page.

However customer support will now be handled by Vectare, where we will be happy to assist with any queries. You can find our support channels by clicking here.

Unfortunately we are currently facing some short term disruption to Central Connect services due to vehicle availability issues. Details of these disruptions can be found on a dedicated page by clicking here.

Central Connect Network

Central Connect operate a series of routes and networks across North West Essex and Hertfordshire:

Harlow & Epping

Service 420 operates 7 days a week providing a regular link into Epping Station for connections to the Central Line and London. Buses operate up to every 20 minutes on weekdays between Harlow and North Weald via Thornwood and Epping, with alternate buses extending to Ongar. An hourly Saturday and two hourly Sunday service also operate (with Sundays supplemented by a two hourly 418B service between Harlow and Epping).

Additional trips between Ongar, North Weald and Epping are provided by Vectare services 13C, 18 & 18C which can be viewed by clicking here.

Service 418B operates on weekday and Saturday evenings providing late journeys between Harlow, Thornwood, Epping, Theydon Bois, Abridge, Debden and Loughton. There's also a two hourly Sunday service which combines with Service 420 to provide hourly Harlow to Epping journeys.

A daytime service is provided Monday to Saturday by Vectare service 418, details of which can be found by clicking here.

Service 542 operates Monday to Saturday daytimes providing local links between Debden and Loughton every 30 minutes.

Service 410 operates Monday to Saturday daytimes providing a regular hourly link from Harlow to the Brookfield Centre in Cheshunt via Stanstead Abbotts and Hoddesdon.

Waltham Cross (Sundays Only)

Service 66A operates on Sundays only providing a regular hourly link from Waltham Cross to Waltham Abbey, Debden and Loughton.

A Monday to Saturday service is provided between Waltham Cross and Waltham Abbey by Vectare services 13, 14, 22 & 505. You find the timetables for those by clicking here.

Service 242 operates on Sundays only providing links from Waltham Cross to Welham Green via Cheshunt and Potters Bar.

Monday to Saturday journeys are operated by Metroline.

Barnet & Potters Bar

Service 84N operates Monday to Saturday providing regular links from Potters Bar to Barnet Hospital via High Barnet, in partnership with Hertsmere Council.

Hertford & Stevenage

A network of town services are provided 7 days a week across Routes H1, H2, H3, H4 and 333 keeping Hertford connected. You can find Hertford Town timetables by clicking there links:

In Stevenage services SB6 and SB11 provide regular Monday to Saturday journeys to Shephall (SB6) and Pin Green (SB11).

In addition services 383, 384 provide key links between the two towns with service 386 providing links from Stevenage onwards to Bishops Stortford via Buntingford and service 351 providing links from Hertford onwards to Bishops Stortford via Stanstead Abbotts.

North Essex Network

A network of services are provided across the north of Essex linking together Audley End, Saffron Walden, Takely, Haverhill, Bishop's Stortford and Stanstead Airport.
